Over the past year, I’ve done something slightly obsessive: I walked into all 30 of Bangkok’s most talked-about tailoring shops, sat through fittings, argued about fabric prices, drank too many cups of tea, and came home with a wardrobe my wife says has gotten out of hand. This guide is the result.
A quick note on how this is different from the other “best tailor” lists you’ll find. Every shop below, I physically visited, usually more than once. I’ll tell you what genuinely impressed me, and I’ll also tell you the things that annoyed me: the cramped fitting rooms, the pushy fabric upselling, the showrooms that look nothing like their photos. That’s the stuff nobody else writes about, and it’s the stuff you actually need to know before you hand over your money.
Prices are in USD and were accurate as of mid-2026. Bangkok’s tailoring scene is competitive, so a lot of these shops genuinely are excellent, but “excellent” and “right for you” are two different things. Hopefully this helps you figure out which is which.
Bangkok has earned its reputation as the global capital of bespoke tailoring. I met clients from London, Lagos, and Los Angeles in the same afternoon at one Sukhumvit shop. After visiting every tailor in this guide in person, I’ve put together a ranking of the 30 best tailors in Bangkok covering everything from luxury bespoke houses to budget custom suit makers.
Why I think Bangkok tailoring is still worth the trip
Since the 1960s, Bangkok has been synonymous with bespoke craftsmanship at prices that make Western tailors wince. What struck me most, going shop to shop, wasn’t the pricing. It was the range. You can get a genuinely well-made half-canvas suit here for the price of a mid-range off-the-rack jacket in Europe.
That said, the scene is not uniform. For every meticulous multi-generational house, there’s a shop around the corner that will happily sell you a fused suit and call it “bespoke.” That’s exactly why I did this in person rather than trusting website copy.
Whether you’re a business traveler on a 48-hour turnaround, or someone building a wardrobe over multiple trips, there’s a tailor here for you. You just have to know which one.

I’ll be honest: I walked into Jesse and Son expecting to be underwhelmed, because the shop is smaller than the website photos suggest. It isn’t a grand showroom. It’s a working tailor’s shop on Sukhumvit Soi 10. But that’s also its charm. Within ten minutes, I was talking to the third-generation cutter about shoulder slope, and I realized I was in the hands of someone who actually knew what he was doing.
✅ What I loved
The fit was the best I’ve had in Bangkok. I’m slightly asymmetric in the shoulders and most tailors here just ignore it. Jesse and Son’s cutter spotted it immediately and adjusted the pattern. The three-generation heritage isn’t marketing fluff; you can feel it in how they handle a measuring tape.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The shop gets genuinely busy in high season (Nov to Feb), and I had to wait nearly 25 minutes past my appointment for my first fitting. Also, the fabric upselling here is real. The entry-level book is fine, but they’ll steer you toward Zegna and Loro Piana hard. Hold your ground if you have a budget. I’d also note the fitting room is small and a bit warm in the afternoon.

President Tailors has been on Sukhumvit 11/1 for over 40 years, and it shows in the best way. The staff have seen every body type and every bad idea a client has ever had. I brought in a photo of a suit I liked and the head cutter gently told me it wouldn’t work for my frame, then showed me a better option. That kind of honesty is worth a lot.
✅ What I loved
The multiple fittings are genuinely included, not an upsell. My suit went through three fittings. The fabric range is broad enough that I could go affordable business wear one day and look at luxury suiting the next without feeling judged.
⚠️ What to watch out for

⚠️ What to watch out for
Empire is one of the pricier “mid-luxury” options and the showroom, while pleasant, can feel a bit corporate. I also found the initial consultation slightly rushed. They had a group of four clients in at once and it took a while to get one-on-one attention. If you want unhurried service, book a weekday morning.

Woolrich is the one I recommend to people who message me at 11 PM saying “I land tomorrow and need a suit by Friday.” They open late, they work fast, and, impressively, the quality doesn’t collapse under the speed.
✅ What I loved
The 24-hour express option is real, not marketing. I watched a client come in on a Thursday evening and collect a finished suit Friday night. The measurements-on-file system for international reordering actually works; I ordered a second pair of trousers from London months later and they matched my original fit exactly. The Silom Soi 14 location is also genuinely convenient if you’re staying near Surawong.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The shop is open until 11 PM, which is great for travelers but means the staff are sometimes running on fumes by evening. My late-night fitting felt a bit mechanical. Also, the Soi 14 location is a short but slightly awkward walk from the main Silom Road, and the storefront itself is easy to miss. Cash is preferred; card payment carries a small surcharge in my experience.

Hotel Tailoring Service
Michael Tailors is inside MBK Center, which cuts both ways. It’s incredibly convenient if you’re already shopping there, and slightly chaotic if you’re not. What genuinely stood out to me was their hotel tailoring service: they came to my room at the Novotel to do a fitting because I was on a tight schedule. That’s a real differentiator.
✅ What I loved
24-hour turnaround. The MBK location is directly connected to BTS National Stadium, so I could combine suit shopping with picking up other things. The pricing is transparent and mid-range, which is rare in mall-based tailors.
⚠️ What to watch out for
MBK is a maze, and “Room 1D-09, end of zone D, G-floor” took me a solid 15 minutes to find even with the map. The storefront is small and the noise from the mall carries; it’s not a relaxing environment for a fitting. Also, the mall closes at 9 PM, so late appointments aren’t an option here the way they are at Woolrich.

Perfect Tailor Bangkok on Sukhumvit Road is the shop I’d call if I needed a suit today. They advertise 24-hour customization and, remarkably, they deliver it. I ordered a basic navy two-piece on a Monday afternoon and had it in hand Tuesday evening.
✅ What I loved
The speed. Full service from suits to shirts, dresses, and even custom shoes. Open 7 days a week until 9:30 PM. The multilingual staff (English, Thai, and some Mandarin) made communication painless.
⚠️ What to watch out for
This is a volume shop. The trade-off for the speed is that fittings feel brisk, and I wasn’t offered the kind of unhurried consultation you get at a smaller house. The showroom is on a busy stretch of Sukhumvit and parking is essentially nonexistent, so take the BTS. Also, the entry-level fabrics are noticeably more synthetic than what you’d get at the same price from a Silom shop.

Jacob Bespoke on Sukhumvit 30/1 is the shop I’d recommend to someone who wants to build an entire wardrobe in one go. Their tiered package system is genuinely useful. You pick a package, and the pricing is transparent about what you get. No hidden costs, which I appreciated after visiting shops that quoted one price and billed another.
✅ What I loved
The construction quality is noticeably better than most shops at this price point. Genuine internal structure, hand-finished details. The 24-48 hour turnaround is achieved through skilled work, not shortcuts; I checked the buttonholes and the canvas by hand. Premium Italian and British fabric selection is available across all tiers.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The shop is on a quiet side soi off Sukhumvit, and the exterior looks more like an office than a tailor. I walked past it twice. The fitting area is small, and during my visit there was only one fitting room in use, which created a bit of a bottleneck. Also, the package system is less flexible than à la carte. If you only want one jacket, you may pay proportionally more than you would elsewhere.

Generational Craftsmanship
AMBFA has been around in one form or another since the early 1960s, nearly 70 years and four generations. I went in skeptical of “heritage” branding, but the half- and full-canvas construction here is genuinely not fused, and the team can explain why that matters without sounding like a brochure.
✅ What I loved
The transparency. Pricing is clear, and there’s no upselling pressure, a rare thing in this part of Sukhumvit. I also liked that they do comprehensive women’s tailoring; many Bangkok tailors claim to, but AMBFA actually has the samples and the experience. The near-Terminal 21 location is easy to reach from BTS Asok.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The showroom is on the second floor of a building on Soi 19 and the signage is modest. I had to ask a security guard. It’s also very much a “heritage” shop, which means the house style leans conservative; if you want a super-slim modern cut, you’ll need to be very specific. And because it’s popular, walk-ins can wait.

Bangrak Bespoke on Charoen Krung Road is one of the most convenient shops in the city if you’re staying riverside. They offered to do my fitting at my hotel. I took them up on it, and the whole thing took less than 30 minutes.
✅ What I loved
The 24-48 hour turnaround genuinely works. Value is excellent, with quality at every price level starting around $225. Worldwide shipping after collection is a nice touch. The historic Bang Rak location means you can combine a fitting with a walk through one of Bangkok’s most interesting neighborhoods.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The shop is on a busy stretch of Charoen Krung with no dedicated parking, and the storefront is easy to miss. The fitting room is basic; this is a working tailor, not a boutique. During peak periods, communication by email can be slow. I had to follow up twice via WhatsApp before getting a reply.

Velour & Waza on Sukhumvit 33/4 is a genuinely interesting shop. They specialize in full canvas construction, which is rare at this price point. Full canvas means the jacket’s shape is built into a floating layer of horsehair canvas, so it molds to your body over time. At under $200 entry, that’s almost suspiciously good value.
✅ What I loved
The construction. I inspected the jacket and there’s a real floating canvas in there. The natural soft-structured silhouette is lovely, and the 2-5 day turnaround is realistic. The Phrom Phong location is easy to reach.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The 33/4 alley location is genuinely hard to find. My Grab driver gave up and I walked the last 300 meters. The shop itself is compact and the fitting area is a single curtained corner, which is not the most comfortable. And while the entry price is low, the fabrics at that price point are basic; you’ll pay closer to $300+ for anything with real character.

Sam Cerruti is inside Gateway Ekamai, directly connected to BTS Ekkamai, a genuinely convenient location if you’re staying on the eastern side of Sukhumvit. The owner has been tailoring since 1977 and has served, by his count, over 200,000 clients.
✅ What I loved
The value. Suits start at $150, genuinely entry-level pricing, but the fabric selection includes Vitale Barberis, Holland & Sherry, Zegna, Scabal, and Loro Piana. The owner is a proper master tailor and it shows in the pattern work.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The shop is small and inside a mall, so it can feel a bit like a kiosk. The normal turnaround (5-12 days) is much longer than the Sukhumvit express shops, so this isn’t the place for a last-minute traveler. And while the location is convenient, the mall setting means limited privacy during fittings.

Eternal Bespoke sits underneath State Tower (the Lebua hotel) in Silom, one of the most recognizable addresses in the city. Mr. Simon runs the shop and has built a 5.0 Google rating, which I was initially suspicious of but came to believe after my visit.
✅ What I loved
The 24-72 hour turnaround is real and the quality holds up. Hotel pick-up and delivery is offered, which is huge for travelers. Measurements are stored on file, and reordering via WhatsApp genuinely works; I tested it. The location is spectacular if you’re staying riverside.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The shop is small and can get busy, and because of the location it’s sometimes mistaken for a hotel service (which it isn’t; it’s an independent shop). Sunday is appointment-only, which caught me out. Also, the entry-level fabrics at $150 are fine but basic; the shop shines at the $250+ level.

The 2-3 day turnaround, competitive Silom pricing (suits from $175), and Sunday opening until 6:30 PM, rare in this district. Online reordering for international clients is a genuine convenience.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The hotel lobby setting means the shop feels like a concession rather than an independent house, and the space is small. I also found the fabric selection a bit limited compared to standalone Silom shops. Because it’s inside a hotel, prices carry a slight premium over nearby Charoen Krung options.

Suit Cut sits on the G-floor of MBK Center, behind Watsons, on the same level as Michael Tailors. Two tailors in one mall sounds like a gimmick until you realize you can price the same commission at both inside twenty minutes. Suit Cut is the more technical of the two. The conversation I had there was about pattern drafting and shoulder balance, not about which lining colour I wanted.
✅ What I loved
The pricing is the clearest I found anywhere in Bangkok, and it’s quoted in baht with no sliding scale. A standard wool blend two-piece is 7,000 baht, around $215, and the same thing in premium lightweight merino is 12,000 baht, around $370. A vest adds a flat 3,000 baht either way. Shirts are 1,500 baht in Egyptian cotton or 2,500 baht in 100% cotton. Fabric books come from Cavani, VBC, and Drago, which is a serious lineup for a mall shop. The 2-3 day turnaround is realistic rather than aspirational, and they take walk-ins.
⚠️ What to watch out for
Finding it is genuinely annoying. “Behind Watsons” means exactly that, and I circled the Watsons twice before I spotted the unit. The fitting area is cramped and the mall noise carries, so it is not a place for an unhurried, atmospheric consultation. The consultation style is technical rather than warm; if you want someone to talk you through what suits your build, you will have to ask directly. And the entry-level cloth is a wool blend with 10% polyester in it, which is fine for an office suit but not what you want for a wedding in April. If you want the same pricing with a proper fitting room, their partner shop Master Cut (#15) is the one to visit.

Master Cut is the partner shop of Suit Cut (#14), and it runs the same price list and the same fabric books. The difference is the setting. Suit Cut is a unit in MBK; Master Cut is a street-level shop on Silom Road with an enclosed fitting room and enough space to actually look at yourself in a mirror. For anyone staying in Bang Rak, Silom or along the river, it is also simply closer.
✅ What I loved
The same published, fixed pricing: 7,000 baht (around $215) for a standard wool blend two-piece, 12,000 baht (around $370) for the premium lightweight merino, and a flat 3,000 baht to add a vest. Shirts are 1,500 baht in Egyptian cotton or 2,500 baht in 100% cotton. Cloth from Cavani, VBC and Drago. What Suit Cut cannot match is the mobile visiting tailor service; they will come to your hotel or office for the measurement and the fitting, which removes the Silom traffic problem entirely. 4.9 across 243 Google reviews, open seven days, and a services list covering ladies’ bespoke, tuxedos and morning coats, linen suits for destination weddings, monogramming and alterations.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The Rassamee Tavorn Building is completely unremarkable from the pavement and I walked straight past it; navigate to the street number rather than looking for a shopfront. Nearest BTS is Chong Nonsi, roughly 8 minutes on foot, which is a hot walk mid-afternoon. Sunday closes at 6 PM rather than 9 PM. And the entry-level cloth carries the same 10% polyester as at Suit Cut; budget for the merino if the suit is for an outdoor event.

The hand-finished details on lapels and buttonholes are genuinely excellent at this price tier. Complimentary future alterations for returning customers is a real commitment. The Phrom Phong location is convenient for anyone staying in the Emporium/EmQuartier area.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The shop is on busy Sukhumvit Road and parking is essentially impossible, so take the BTS. The showroom is pleasant but not large, and on my second visit there was a bit of a wait. I’d also note that the house style leans traditional/executive; if you want something fashion-forward, be very explicit.

They genuinely do both men’s and women’s custom suits well, which is not universal in Bangkok. The central Sukhumvit location is easy to reach, and the fitting process felt thorough. Pricing is competitive for the quality.
⚠️ What to watch out for
Closed Sundays, which is inconvenient for weekend travelers. The shop is small and can feel crowded. And while the work is solid, I wouldn’t call it distinctive; the house style is safe rather than exciting. If you want something unusual, you may need to push.

Founded in 1965 by master tailor Mr. Ram, Bespoke Suits Bangkok on Sukhumvit 28 is one of the oldest custom houses in the city. The fabric library is genuinely impressive: over 500 options from Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil, Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Cerruti, and Scabal.
✅ What I loved
The construction. Fully hand-finished, hand-sewn sleeves and collars, hand-made buttonholes, embroidered initials inside the jacket. The 2-3 day turnaround with multiple fittings is realistic. The multilingual team (English, Thai, Mandarin, Japanese) is a real asset. The Phrom Phong location near the embassy district is convenient.
⚠️ What to watch out for
The Sukhumvit 28 soi is easy to miss and parking is limited. The showroom is pleasant but not large; during busy periods it can feel a bit crowded. And while the heritage is genuine, the “since 1965” branding is heavily emphasized. If you’re allergic to heritage marketing, it might grate.

🎯 My honest takeaway after visiting all 30
Bangkok’s tailoring scene is genuinely world-class, but it’s also uneven. The top 10 shops in this guide are, in my experience, as good as bespoke tailors anywhere. The value tier is where you’ll find the biggest variance: some shops are genuinely excellent value, others are cutting corners you can’t see until the suit is on your body.
If I had to pick one shop for a single “forever suit,” I’d go with Jesse and Son. If I needed something fast, Woolrich or Eternal Bespoke. If I wanted the clearest pricing and the least sales pressure, Suit Cut at MBK or its Silom partner Master Cut, whichever is closer to where you’re staying. If I wanted value for money, Boss Apparels or Paul’s Fashion. If I wanted something fashion-forward, Unique Tailor or Jhasper.
The single most important thing I learned: visit in person before you commit. Every shop in this guide has a website, and every website looks great. The shop itself is what matters.
